Breastfeeding has tremendous benefits and is a unique journey for mother and babies. Although breastfeeding is the preferred method, it can sometimes be challenging for everyone involved. Having unwavering support during this time is crucial. We now offer Lactation Services at our FPCA Walkersville location with our nurse Kayte Nusbaum, RN, BSN, CLC.

During your lactation visit we will:
Review individual goals
Discuss any issues
Formulate a plan

Topics to Discuss:
Breastfeeding basics
Feeding cues
Correct latch and latch difficulties
Nipple and/or breast soreness or pain
Low milk supply
Pumping
Engorgement
Other complications

Please contact your regular primary care office to schedule a consultation with our lactation specialist.
